FCSA Alumni
Mission Statement:
To support the key needs of the
Florida Caribbean Students’ Association, Inc. and
the Association by mobilizing the talent and expertise
of all alumni.
Objectives:
The Association seeks to accomplish its mission by
working to:
a. Promote the
interests and welfare of the Florida Caribbean Students’
Association (herein referred as FCSA, Inc.) by
organizing the entire body of graduates and former
students of FCSA, Inc. members in order to keep the
Alumni involved with and aware of the progress and needs
of FCSA, Inc.
b. Strengthen the reputation of FCSA,
Inc. within the community by communicating to others the
excellence of its programs and the achievements of its
alumni, students, and faculty.
c. Increase the Association's visibility among
current students, and its future alumni.
d. Develop resources for financial
support of the Association and FCSA, Inc.
e. Provide opportunities for alumni
leadership and involvement through service, financial
support,
student recruitment, and mentoring.
f. To provide a communication link
between FCSA, Inc. and its alumni members
HISTORY:
The Florida
Caribbean Students Association (FCSA), Incorporated
Alumni Association was created at a time when many
undergraduate students were preparing to leave the
security of college and enter a new and sometimes
terrifying phase in their lives. It was time to
acknowledge the presence of its graduates, because many
of them were still active but not able to identify and
connect at all times with their undergraduate
counterparts. Thus the Alumni Association was created
and a new era in FCSA began.
Through the
introduction of the FCSA Alumni Association, graduates
are able to feel as though they are once again able to
play a vital role in the continuing success of FCSA. As
graduates we are able to not only aid FCSA, but we are
able to provide for our newly graduated peers
instrumental advice and assistance in anyway possible.
FCSA, Alumni Association looks to
maintain as extensive network, and it is with your help
as newly graduated members of FCSA that we can
accomplish this task. As new members / or soon to be
members, you join an organization that is working to
strengthen the Caribbean community through networking,
scholarships, etc. The benefits to you and to the
organization that has provided you with numerous
opportunities (social, and otherwise) to grow and learn
are never-ending.
